Couldn’t agree more with John Mayer
This morning, one of my Facebook contacts posted a line from “dreaming with a broken heart”. After arguing with my brother which artist popularized the song and eventually being decided with the help of a Google search (silly me), hearing the song one more time makes me reminisce.
I first heard this song during the times when I was being confronted with my usual “heart” problems and became a part of my play list for about a year or so only to be stopped because my Mp3 player broke down (If I remember the biopsy too much sentimental music is the C.O.D.).
Even though I stopped being the person who I used to be (will be explained in next few posts), I certainly would agree on John Mayer’s choice of words for this one. especially his line “do I have to sleep with roses in my hand” which depicts a man who still holds on to something that is already gone.
But still, the best line for me is: “no you’re wrong, ‘cause you’re gone”. How many ways can we put it (we are still friends, he will always remain close to my heart) we can’t deny the fact that it is over and it hurts a lot.
